Guidelines to apply for a Residency

Each year, the Fondation des Treilles offers an author of fiction or essay a privileged place as well as any logistic support enabling him to achieve a written work intended to be published.

Residency is open to confirmed authors writing or publishing in French, or whose work is related to francophone culture.

A six-person jury, made up of academics and critics and appointed by the Administrative Council of the Fondation, examines the applications (download the form) and nominates the award winner.

The laureates are welcomed between March and September, in one of the houses located on the estate. He has at his disposal all the means, including a library and Internet connexion, enabling him to devote all his time and creativity to his work. The Fondation takes care of meals and housekeeping.

Residency is accompanied with a grant of 2 650 € per month, allocated depending on the effective duration of the stay.
